Q and A

How can I integrate my new domain into my existing business presence?

You probably have a web site already. If so, we suggest you set up a new site on your new domain with content to match the domain keywords. The content can be similar to that on your main site, but edited to make it unique.

Contact your web person or your current web hosting provider. Usually they can add the domain to your present account. Alternatively, we can host the domain/site for you.

Are there any other fees involved?

You will pay us once for the domain. Then you will pay your domain registrar for renewing the domain under your name. We use NameSilo.com for .ca names. Their prices are very reasonable, and it is easy to transfer to your account. After our transaction is done, you will own the domain as long as you continue renewing it year-to-year, just as you do with your other domains.

How do I know that you own this domain, and are legally able to sell it to me?

This is easy to verify. Go to any online “whois” database (whois.net, whois.sc, etc.) and type in the domain name. You will see it return our information.

How long will the domain transfer take?

The process can be very quick. Pending on the price of the domain. For domains less than $1,000 we use PayPal as the payment processor. For domains over $1,000 we prefer to use www.escrow.com which keep your funds in escrow until the domain is transferred. There is a fee, which we usually split with the buyer. A domain sale/transfer can be achieved in as little as a few minutes, though since we process the transfer by hand, it can sometimes take up to a day depending.
